Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered by pulsefya through its website. The services include specialised training in live production decks and control rooms, covering multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy covers both individual course enrolments and bundled training packages delivered online or in hybrid formats to customers located in the United Kingdom.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). The listed course fees include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as printed materials, certification fees, or extended access periods. These extras are clearly indicated before checkout. pulsefya reserves the right to adjust prices for future enrolments, but changes will not affect confirmed bookings.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved third-party processors. All transactions are authorised at the time of booking. pulsefya uses secure payment gateways compliant with UK data protection standards to protect card details. No payment information is stored on our servers. Authorisation holds may appear on statements until the transaction completes or is released.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A binding contract forms when you receive a confirmation email following successful payment. This email outlines the course details, start date, access instructions, and terms. Until confirmation is issued, no contract exists and any payment received will be returned if the course is unavailable. Bookings are subject to availability of places on the selected course cohort.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation to cancel without reason. This right does not apply once course materials have been accessed or the service has begun with your agreement. For digital content, cancellation rights end upon download or streaming start if you have expressly consented to immediate performance.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available within the 14-day cooling-off period provided no course content has been accessed. Full refunds are not available after this period or once live sessions have commenced. Non-refundable items include any customised materials, third-party software licences provided as part of the course, and promotional bundles where a discount was applied. Refunds will not be issued for partial attendance or failure to meet personal learning objectives.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your full name, booking reference, course title, and reason for cancellation. Include the date of the original booking and any confirmation number. Requests must be submitted in writing; telephone requests alone are not sufficient. You will receive an acknowledgement within two working days confirming receipt of your request.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Each refund request is reviewed within five working days. You will be notified by email of the decision, including the amount approved or reasons for rejection. If rejected, you may provide additional information for reconsideration within seven days. Decisions are final once the review period expires without further submission.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. Credit card refunds may appear on statements within three to five working days, while bank transfers can take up to ten working days depending on your provider. pulsefya is not responsible for delays caused by third-party banks or processors.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital course content is non-returnable once accessed. Subscription-style access to recorded sessions ends on the stated expiry date with no automatic renewal unless separately purchased. Promotional offers are valid only for the stated period and cannot be combined with refunds after redemption. If a course is cancelled by pulsefya, participants receive a full refund or credit toward future sessions at their choice.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the booking will be cancelled. Duplicate charges detected by our system are automatically investigated and refunded within ten working days. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and reporting to relevant UK authorities where necessary.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to receive services with reasonable care and skill. You retain rights to remedies for faulty digital content or services. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 govern how your booking data is handled during refund processes.
