Legal Information

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This page is the legal information notice for this website. It explains who operates the site, how the business is registered, what you may and may not do with our content and services, how we limit our responsibility, and which laws and dispute routes apply. It is written in plain English and should be read together with our other policies, which are named in the cross-reference section below.

1. Identity of the Website Operator and Its Role

pulsefya operates this commercial website as a provider of specialised training courses focused on live production decks and control rooms. Our teaching covers multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and the professional management of television and streaming productions. We deliver these educational services to individuals and to organisations that want to strengthen their practical skills in broadcast media, live event production and live streaming workflows.

In legal terms, the operator of this website is the company whose registration details appear in section 2 below. That company is responsible for the content published here, for the courses advertised and sold here, and for the personal data processed in connection with them. Throughout this page, "we", "us" and "our" mean pulsefya; "you" means the visitor, student, or organisation using the website or booking a course.

The website acts as an information, marketing and enrolment channel. It does not replace the individual course documentation supplied when a booking is confirmed. Where marketing wording on this website conflicts with a confirmed booking document, the booking document takes precedence for that booking.

1.1 What we do, and what we do not do

We provide instructor-led, hands-on training in studio and control room environments. We do not provide broadcast transmission services, and we do not act as a commissioning broadcaster. We do not sell, rent or sub-licence the production equipment used during training, and we do not direct live broadcasts on behalf of clients unless a separate written agreement expressly says so.

Trainers who deliver our courses may hold industry certifications and may work for other organisations. Views they express during training are their own professional opinions and are not a guarantee of a particular commercial or editorial result for your own production.

2. Legal Form, Registration Details, Tax Identifiers, Licences and Responsible Representatives

pulsefya is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales. Its principal non-contact legal identifiers are set out below, and they appear on our invoices, booking confirmations and formal correspondence.

  • Company Registration Number: 02867466
  • VAT Registration Number: GB 645 085 923
  • Legal form: private company limited by shares
  • Country of incorporation: England and Wales, United Kingdom
  • Companies register: Companies House, United Kingdom
  • Registered office: First Floor, Windmill House, 127-128 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1BL, United Kingdom

2.1 Registration and filing obligations

The company maintains all necessary registrations with Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs. It files annual accounts and confirmation statements as required by the Companies Act 2006, and keeps the statutory registers that the law requires. Members of the public can verify the company's status, filing history and current officers, free of charge, through the public register.

2.2 Tax and invoicing

We are registered for value added tax in the United Kingdom under the number shown above. Course prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where indicated. We issue a VAT invoice for every paid booking, and business customers can supply a purchase order reference and have their own VAT number recorded on the invoice. Where a customer is established outside the United Kingdom, the VAT treatment of a booking may differ; ask us before booking if you need confirmation for your own accounting records.

2.3 Licences and permissions

No operational licence beyond the standard requirements that apply to educational and training services is mandated for the type of business we carry on in the United Kingdom. Where course material includes music, footage, still images or software, we clear the necessary performance and reproduction rights or use content that is licensed for training purposes. Manufacturer, camera, switcher and streaming platform names used in course descriptions are descriptive only, and all such names remain the property of their respective owners.

2.4 Responsible representatives

The responsible representatives of the company are its directors. Their details are filed with Companies House and are available for public inspection. The directors are accountable for the day-to-day management of the business, for the content published on this website, and for compliance with consumer protection, e-commerce and data protection law in the United Kingdom. Formal legal notices, court documents and regulatory correspondence should be sent to the registered office address shown above; where a notice may lawfully be served by email, our address for that purpose is [email protected].

3. Registered Office and Available Contact Details

Our registered office and postal address is: First Floor, Windmill House, 127-128 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1BL, United Kingdom. This is the address recorded on the public register and the address at which formal notices and legal documents may be served.

Our published contact channels are:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • Telephone: +44 7710 486195
  • Postal address: First Floor, Windmill House, 127-128 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1BL, United Kingdom
  • Contact form: available on the Contacts page of this website

Use the contact form or the email address above for general enquiries, course availability questions and requests for a quotation. Use email for data protection requests, cancellation requests that you want to have recorded in writing, and intellectual property notices, so that there is a dated record of your message. Telephone is best for short, time-sensitive questions, such as confirming whether a place is still available on a course starting shortly. We aim to acknowledge written enquiries within five working days and to give a substantive reply within twenty-one days. Our enquiries desk is normally staffed Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00, and Saturday, 10:00 to 14:00, United Kingdom time; it is closed on Sundays and on public holidays in England.

For your own protection, please do not send us card numbers, bank details or copies of identity documents by email or through the contact form. Payment instructions for course bookings are given only in the booking confirmation we issue, through the payment channel named in that confirmation. If you receive a message that appears to come from us but asks you to change bank details, do not act on it. Verify the request by telephoning +44 7710 486195 using a number you have obtained independently.

We do not publish the personal mobile numbers or personal email addresses of staff, trainers or directors, and we ask that our staff are not contacted on private channels about business matters. Requests to speak with a named individual should be made through the contact form or the email address above, and we will arrange a call back where that is practical.

4. Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience of the Website

This website serves to promote and facilitate enrolment in professional training courses that specialise in live production environments. Its scope includes detailed instruction on control room operations, multi-camera production workflows, broadcasting standards and practice, vision mixing and switching, audio and talkback co-ordination, and streaming management techniques.

The intended audience includes media professionals, aspiring broadcasters, production technicians, students of film and television studies, corporate communications teams, and organisations involved in live events or content creation. Content is designed for users in the United Kingdom and, where courses are delivered remotely or internationally, for users elsewhere. Everything published here is aimed at practical, hands-on learning outcomes that can be applied directly to real television, event and streaming productions.

4.1 Audience age and suitability

Our courses and this website are intended for adults and for organisations. We do not knowingly market training to children or collect their personal data. Where an individual course is suitable for a younger participant, this will be stated clearly in the course description, booking must be made by a parent, guardian or responsible adult organisation, and any additional supervision or safeguarding arrangements will be explained before the session takes place.

4.2 Information only, not advice for a specific production

Descriptions of techniques, equipment and workflows are general and educational. They are not a substitute for a risk assessment, an operational plan, a method statement, or professional advice about a particular production. When you work on a real production, always follow manufacturer instructions, your employer's health and safety rules, venue requirements, and the applicable broadcasting or streaming standards.

5. Rules for Access to and Acceptable Use of the Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes connected with learning about, evaluating and booking our courses. When you use the site, you agree not to:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, its servers, or any account that is not yours;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site, or interfere with its security or authentication features;
  • use automated tools, scrapers, harvesters or bots to copy content, extract contact details or submit repeated requests;
  • submit false, misleading or abusive content through the contact form, including spam, bulk marketing, chain messages, or material that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise unlawful;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation;
  • upload or transmit viruses, malware or any other harmful code or link;
  • copy, record, publish or redistribute course materials, slide decks, exercise files, recordings or assessments, except as permitted in section 6;
  • use our name, logos or course titles in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement or partnership that does not exist;
  • use the website in a way that impairs other users' access, for example by placing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including your name, organisation, invoicing details and any access requirements you want us to consider. If you are given account credentials, keep them confidential and tell us promptly if you believe they have been used by someone else.

5.1 Studio and control room conduct

Where a course takes place in a studio, control room or production deck, additional rules apply for safety and for the protection of equipment, contributors and other participants. You must follow the instructor's directions at all times, remain in the areas you are authorised to enter, refrain from unauthorised photography or recording of other participants, avoid reconfiguring equipment without permission, and report any accident, near miss or damage immediately. Live galleries and studios may also be subject to confidentiality obligations owed to our other clients, and you must respect any instruction to keep what you see or hear confidential.

5.2 Consequences of breach

If we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, we may refuse or cancel a booking, refuse access to or remove you from a training session, suspend or delete an account, block access to the website, and seek to recover the losses caused. Where conduct is or may be criminal, we may report it to the police and to other relevant authorities. Refusal of service for breach does not create a right to a refund beyond what the Payment and Refund Policy allows, and does not affect any statutory rights you have that cannot be excluded.

5.3 Access needs and accessibility of the website

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, and we try to keep its structure clear and its language plain. If you meet a barrier, please tell us through the contact form or at [email protected], describing the page or task involved and the technology you are using, and we will try to provide the information or the service in an alternative way. Reasonable adjustments for training sessions, such as additional time, accessible seating or alternative formats for materials, can be discussed at the time of booking and before the session wherever possible.

6. Ownership and Permitted Use of Website Content, Trademarks and Other Intellectual Property

All content on this website is protected by copyright, database rights, trade mark rights and other intellectual property rights. The content includes, without limitation, the text of our pages, the layout and design, graphics, photographs, video and audio, course outlines, slide decks, handouts, exercise files, assessment questions, teaching notes, and any recorded sessions or webinars we make available to participants.

Unless stated otherwise, the owner of these rights is pulsefya. Where content has been licensed from a third party, the rights remain with that third party or its licensors, and any use permitted below does not extend to that third-party content.

6.1 What you may do

You may view, download and print pages and handouts from this website for your own personal, non-commercial learning, provided you keep all copyright and attribution notices intact. If your employer or organisation booked a place for you, you may use the course materials internally within that organisation for the purposes of the individual who attended, subject to any specific licence terms issued with the materials. If you are unsure whether a particular use is covered, ask us before you use the material.

6.2 What you may not do

Without our prior written permission you must not:

  • republish, sell, rent, sub-licence or distribute our content or course materials to third parties;
  • use our content to deliver your own training, whether paid or free, or to create a competing course;
  • incorporate material into another website, product, courseware or publication;
  • create derivative works, translations or adaptations of our materials;
  • remove, obscure or alter copyright, trade mark or attribution notices;
  • systematically extract or re-utilise substantial parts of the content, which may also breach database rights.

Short quotations for genuine criticism, review, teaching or news reporting may be permitted under the fair dealing exceptions in the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, provided the use is fair, the source is acknowledged, and the amount used is no more than is necessary.

6.3 Trade marks and brand names

Our trading name, logo and course names are trade marks or unregistered marks of pulsefya. You must not use them without written permission, except to refer to us accurately and factually, for example in a genuine review of a course you attended or in a factual report of your training. Equipment and software brand names that appear on this website belong to their owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.

6.4 Reporting infringement, errors or objectionable content

If you believe that content on this website infringes your rights, or is defamatory, misleading or otherwise unlawful, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the content, an explanation of your concern, and evidence of your ownership or authority where relevant. We will acknowledge your message, investigate it, and where appropriate remove or amend the content promptly. We may also contact you for further information. This route is available to rights holders and to anyone affected by content published here.

7. Accuracy, Availability and Proportionate Limitations of Liability

We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date. Even so, course schedules, pricing, trainer assignments, venue arrangements and availability are subject to change, and technical information about broadcast equipment and software changes quickly. If a detail matters to your decision, please confirm it with us at the time of booking.

7.1 Availability of the website

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. The site may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, or failures of our hosting, network or third-party services. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice. Where an interruption affects a course you have booked, we will contact you using the details you supplied and offer a rescheduled date or another remedy consistent with the Payment and Refund Policy.

7.2 Limits of our liability to consumers

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, nothing on this page affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In particular, training services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and where a service falls short you are entitled to remedies such as a repeat performance or a price reduction. Nothing in this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7.3 Limits of our liability to business users

If you use this website or book a course in the course of a business, we exclude, to the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss or corruption of data, business interruption, and any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with a booking or the use of this website is limited to the total fees paid by you for the course or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the event that gave rise to it.

7.4 Proportional responsibility

Because our courses teach techniques that participants may apply to their own productions, we are not responsible for production outcomes, editorial decisions, compliance with broadcasting or platform regulations, or the performance of equipment and services that we do not supply. We are not responsible for loss caused by your own equipment, software, network, or by a failure to follow instructions or safety guidance. Where responsibility is shared, our liability is proportionate to our share of it.

8. External Links and Third-Party Content

This website may contain links to websites run by other organisations, and may embed or reference third-party material such as video players, mapping tools, payment pages, booking platforms or social media content. Those services are operated by other people, on their own terms.

  • We do not control third-party websites and we do not maintain them;
  • Their own terms of use, privacy policies and cookie rules apply to what you do there, and you should read them before providing personal data or making a payment;
  • A link from our website is not an endorsement, and we do not guarantee the accuracy, availability or legality of what you find at the other end of it;
  • Downloading from third-party sites is at your own risk, and you should use appropriate security software;
  • Prices, specifications and availability shown on third-party sites are not our prices and may not reflect current course conditions;
  • We are not responsible for third-party content that you access through a link, or for any loss arising from it.

If you find a link here that is broken, out of date or points to inappropriate material, tell us through the contact form or at [email protected] and we will review it.

8.1 Links to our website

You may link to the home page of this website provided the link is fair, does not suggest an endorsement or partnership that does not exist, and does not misrepresent our relationship. You must not frame our pages, mirror our content, or deep-link in a way that bypasses our navigation or presents our material as your own without written permission.

9. Cross-References to Our Other Policies

This page forms part of a set of documents that apply together. The other documents you should read are:

  • Privacy Policy: describes what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Cookie Policy: explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, the purposes they serve, and how you can manage or withdraw consent, which is collected through the site-wide cookie banner.
  • Terms and Conditions: govern the contractual relationship between you and us for course bookings and for the use of the website, including booking procedures, transfers, substitutions, and the conduct rules for training sessions.
  • Payment and Refund Policy: sets out billing methods, deposit and instalment arrangements, cancellation deadlines, transfer options, refund procedures and the timescales that apply to them.

Where two documents appear to conflict, the Terms and Conditions govern the contract for a booking, the Payment and Refund Policy governs payment matters, the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy govern data matters, and this page governs general legal information about the operator and the website. If you cannot find a document, or a version you were given, ask us through the contact form or at [email protected] and we will provide a copy free of charge.

10. Data Protection, Cookies and Marketing in Brief

We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we handle electronic marketing and cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. In summary, we collect only the data we need for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, such as administering your booking, delivering training, keeping financial and tax records, answering enquiries, improving our courses, and sending marketing where you have consented or where we have another lawful basis for doing so. We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for those purposes, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures.

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can object to direct marketing at any time. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe route, and using it does not affect the service you receive on a course you have booked. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are set only after consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw through the cookie banner; withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, please raise it with us first, and you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, which is the United Kingdom supervisory authority for data protection.

11. Bookings, Consumer Protection and E-Commerce Information in Brief

As a commercial provider of training services in the United Kingdom, we comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002. In practice this means that, before you book, we provide clear information about the content of the course, the price including VAT, the date and duration, the place or method of delivery, the identity of the trader, and your cancellation rights. We keep a record of the booking terms that applied when you booked.

Because our courses are services provided on a specific date or during a specific period, the statutory fourteen-day cooling-off right that normally applies to distance contracts may not apply once a booking is confirmed for a fixed session date. Where that right does apply, for example where a booking is made well in advance and no session date has yet been fixed, we will honour it and refund the amounts required by law. Any additional flexibility we offer, such as a free transfer to a later date, is described in the Payment and Refund Policy and does not reduce your statutory rights.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where indicated. We may correct obvious pricing or description errors before a booking is accepted; if a correction is needed after you have booked, we will tell you and offer you the choice of confirming at the corrected price or cancelling with a full refund.

12. Applicable Law, Competent Courts and Consumer Dispute Rights

This website and all associated services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to what follows, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from your use of the site or your participation in a course.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents you from using the small claims procedure for a claim within its financial limit, or from enforcing your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12.1 Alternative dispute resolution

We are not obliged to participate in a formal alternative dispute resolution procedure, but we are willing to consider mediation or another form of ADR where a complaint cannot be resolved directly. Any ADR would be voluntary for both sides, would be at proportionate cost, and would not prevent either side from going to court. General consumer advice about rights and dispute routes is available from Citizens Advice and from the Trading Standards service in your local authority area.

12.2 Data protection complaints

Complaints about how we handle personal data may be made to the Information Commissioner's Office. We would prefer the chance to put things right first, so please contact us at [email protected] before escalating, and we will investigate and respond.

12.3 Limitation periods

In England and Wales, the usual limitation period for contractual claims is six years from the date the cause of action arose, and five years in Scotland. We ask that any complaint about a course be raised within twelve months of the session so that records, materials and trainer availability can still be reviewed, but nothing in that request shortens a statutory limitation period.

13. Complaints and How We Handle Them

We want to resolve problems quickly. In the first instance, raise the issue with the course team through the contact form or at [email protected], giving your booking reference, the date of the session and a clear description of what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and to provide a substantive response within twenty-one days. If you are not satisfied with that response, you can ask for the matter to be reviewed by a director, who will look at the file afresh and reply in writing, normally within a further twenty-one days.

Complaints about invoices, refunds or cancellation charges are handled under the Payment and Refund Policy; complaints about the conduct of other participants or about safety are handled under our training conduct rules; and complaints about personal data are handled in line with the Privacy Policy. We keep a record of complaints and their outcomes so that we can improve our courses, and we will not treat a complaint as a reason to reduce the standard of service you receive.

14. Other Legal Matters, Insurance and General Provisions

We maintain insurance appropriate to our activities, including public liability cover and, where relevant, professional indemnity cover for training services. Certificates of insurance can be provided on request to clients who need them for their own risk assessments.

We are committed to equal treatment under the Equality Act 2010 and will make reasonable adjustments for participants with disabilities or additional needs where we can. We apply fair and lawful employment practices, and we expect our suppliers and partners to do the same. Where the law requires a modern slavery statement from an organisation of our size and turnover, we will publish one; until then, we maintain policies that reflect the same principles.

These provisions are governed by English law. If any part of this page is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be treated as removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining parts will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, but this will not reduce the protections you have under this page. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, industrial action, power or network failure, or public health restrictions, though we will always try to offer a fair alternative in those circumstances. This page is published in English, and English is the language of our contract with you. A person who is not a party to a booking has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of it.

15. Contact Route, Changes to This Page and Last-Updated Date

Enquiries about this page or anything in it should be sent through the contact form on the Contacts page, by email to [email protected], by telephone on +44 7710 486195, or by post to First Floor, Windmill House, 127-128 Windmill Street, Gravesend, Kent DA12 1BL, United Kingdom. Formal legal notices must be sent to the registered office address given above.

We may update this page periodically to reflect changes in law, business practice or operational details. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page. The current version was last updated on 4 November 2026 and replaces all earlier versions. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised page. If a change affects a course you have already booked, we will contact you directly using the details you supplied, and the terms in force at the time of your booking will continue to apply to that booking unless you agree otherwise.
